Room to Rent: Out-of-state businesses relocating to Utah in increasing numbers. But not without a fight.

No business is immune to the adverse economic effects of our present, deep recession. Still, many companies see this as an opportune time to relocate their businesses. Utah offers advantages such as high-quality labor, lower operating costs and a pro-business environment. As a commercial real estate agent, my view remains optimistic (if somewhat challenged) despite a recession that is much deeper than any I have experienced in my career. But one question has been occupying my mind: How can we best compete against neighboring states to attract new businesses to Utah and help existing business find better locations?
